FIELD: cassette for information-carrying medium in form of optical or magnet disk, with capability of information exchange in working mode.

SUBSTANCE: disk cassette includes cassette case, shutter, and disk holding element. Cassette case contains disk holding part, where disk is located with the side for signal recording, so that disk can rotate in disk holding part; the first side of disk is open; notch for clip, which is formed on the bottom of disk holding part, ensuring clipping of disk from outside; notch for head, which is also formed on the bottom of disk holding part, ensuring head capability, which reads and/or writes signal from/to disk side for signal recording, to have access to side for signal recording. Shutter is located on the cassette case and can move relative to it to open or close at least the notch for head. Disk holding element holds the disk in cassette case of frees the disk from it.

EFFECT: such construction ensures disk protection from dust, while saving the capability to view the label of disk in the window for disk and can be implemented with decreased width.
