FIELD: technologies for accumulating information.

SUBSTANCE: magnetic disk cassette includes body for positioning disk, having first aperture, lid, positioned on body and having second aperture. Under disk latch is positioned for opening/closing of first aperture. On aforementioned latch multiple shelves are made for supporting disk along external circle in non-information zone. Shelves have inclined surfaces, along which disk is lowered when latch is closed. When latch is closed disk raises along inclined surfaces and enters tight contact with portion of lid, positioned around second aperture of lid. Because latch only contacts non-information zone of disk, information zone of disk is protected from damage during opening/closing of first aperture. For closed latch edge portion of disk along external circle tightly contacts with compaction, mounted around second aperture, to decrease pollution of recordable surface.

EFFECT: decreased pollution and prevented damaging of recordable surface.
