FIELD: controlling shared downlink power in mobile communication systems.
SUBSTANCE: downlink transmitting cell receives signal from user terminal, finds out if its status is set as main or auxiliary one basing on signal received, and controls shared downlink transmission power in compliance with above-attained results. This cell reduces transmission power of downlink when it is given as main cell and enhances downlink transmission power when it is given as auxiliary one. Proposed method for controlling shared downlink transmission power implies that cell transmitting this downlink sets its own status as auxiliary one in case of poor quality of signal received with the result that reduction in power transmitted by this shared downlink cell can be prevented even in case of poor quality of signal received as distinct from typical diversity transmission mode.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of power transmission by proposed downlink cell.
