FIELD: electrochemical production, namely manufacture of anodes for electrolysis of aqueous media, for example for industrial electrolysis, cathode protection against corrosion by means of outer electric current.

SUBSTANCE: method for producing cast magnetite comprises steps of pouring melt magnetite at temperature 1610°C into mold whose shape corresponds to desired part and that is placed into closed vessel; supplying mixture of CO + CO2 at pressure (1.5 - 16)at to said closed vessel.

EFFECT: possibility for producing cast or frozen magnetite of stoichiometric composition and with single-phase structure, elimination of magnetite cracking due to its stable composition and structure.
