FIELD: electrochemical production processes and equipment, namely manufacture of anodes for electrolysis of aqueous media, possibly industrial electrolysis process, cathode protection against corrosion with use of outer electric current.

SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of annealing magnetite anodes used for electrolysis in aqueous media with pH 2 - 14 in oxygen-containing atmosphere at temperature 1100 - 1300°C for time period 10 - 30 min in gaseous mixture CO + CO2 while performing endothermic control according to oxygen pressure in range 0.02 - 0.04 at.

EFFECT: enhanced corrosion resistance of anode, simplified process for making it.
