FIELD: protection of small-sized civil and military objects against reconnaissance and attacking means of the enemy guided by control systems acting in the optical and radio-frequency bands of electromagnetic radiation.

SUBSTANCE: the device has a metal cylindrical body that accommodates the payload, which is installed in the longitudinal axis of the body, a hollow central duct, burster charge separated from the payload by a piston, upper jettisonable cover, as well as a launching device containing an electric primer, propelling charge and a pyroretarder positioned in the bottom part of the body and pyrotechnically coupled to the burster charge. The body is made of several section rigidly linked by adapters, the payload is positioned in the mentioned sections and made of materials of various kinds acting in the optical and radio-frequency bands of radiation, the section that is nearest to the launching device contains the payload in the form of powdered metal positioned in a toroidal shell of nonmetallic material that is installed on a guide post made ion the form of an axial tube with knives, and the piston is made with a set of partitions - wads.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of protection of objects by producing a jamming cloud in the atmosphere in the form of a multilayer aerosol screen effective in a wide spectrum of infra-red and radio-frequency bands with a long (20 to 30 s) time of action.
