FIELD: instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: record carrier has a layer onto disk-shaped substrate, being sensitive to radiation. It is provided with data record area, disposed correspondingly to spiral or concentric contours of preliminary made paths. Modulation is made on the path in form of radial beatings, which has frequency to be modulated by position information signal. In order to form contour of the path during making record carrier, when information signal is recorded onto record carrier and signal being recorded in read out, demodulation unit restores the signal by means of scanning beam, created by path modulation. Information signal used for regulating speed of scanning is restored on the base of evaluation of these changes in scanning beam. EFFECT: improved reliability. 3 cl, 3 cl, 8 dwg
