FIELD: biotechnology and ecology.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises selecting and picking bioassay samples, objects to be tested and reference objects, adding bioassay to both objects and quantitatively evaluating effects of individual compounds More particularly, objects to be tested and reference objects of gas media are prepared in the form of equilibrium solutions in water or another suitable solvent and bioassay is selected from one party of original species of genetically aligned specimens of living organisms, which are adapted to experiment conditions and kept simultaneously under the same conditions in test and reference objects (equilibrium solutions) during specified period of time. Thereafter, most sensitive parameter (response) of bioassay to the effect of contaminating substances on survived specimens in bioassay in test object is measured. From results of measurements of bioassay parameters using dependence of relative response of bioassay on concentration of dissolved components in test object, biological effect from activity of components in test object and biological activity of equilibrium solution components are determined. From biological activity of equilibrium solutions and from relation of the volume of gas medium and volume of solvent taken to prepare equilibrium solutions, biological activity and biological effect of gas medium re calculated.

EFFECT: enabled determination of values of negative effects of individual compounds or mixtures thereof in the gas phase on living organisms.
