FIELD: electrical and power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for measuring insulation resistance of insulated-neutral dc network involves measurement of voltages across poles to ground before and after connection of resistor unit to one of poles. Electrically controlled resistor unit is connected to pole whose polarity is same as that of total voltage across poles before they are energized. Current through resistor unit is maintained constant in the process. In addition, currents through network connections are measured before and after connection of resistor unit. Total insulation resistance of network and connections is evaluated by value of voltage half-sum increment across poles caused by connection of electrically controlled resistor unit, by current through this unit, and by current increment of connections.
EFFECT: facilitated measurement procedure, enlarged functional capabilities of method.
