FIELD: manufacture of fittings, safety cut-off valves in particular for safe operation of thermal power plants.
SUBSTANCE: proposed solenoid-operated valve has manual control mechanism for placing it in open state, electromagnet, valve seat with shut-off member which are movable between seat and electromagnet and two washers. One washer is made from magnetic material and other washer is made from magnetically-conducting material. Both washers are mounted on one side relative to shut-off member and electromagnet is mounted on other side. One washer is rigidly connected with shut-off member by means of rod and other washer is immovable. When valve is set in closed position, both washers are close to each other; one washer is used for adjusting final distance between them.
EFFECT: reduced power of current and voltage; extended field of application.
