FIELD: electrical engineering, in particular, methods and devices of systems of power supply of artificial earth satellites with direct current.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in a periodic check of the present value of current in the process of service of the artificial earth satellite. During the check of current the solar battery is intensively rotated about the axis passing on its plane, and additionally checked is the time period (T1) from the moment of the beginning of current drop from the steady-state value (Ist) to the moment when the current rise to the moment when it attains the steady-state value, and the time period (T2) from the moment of current rise from the zero value to the moment when it attains the next zero value, and the solar battery current is calculated by formula: Isb = Ist/sin(180° x T1/T2)
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of current check in the process of service.
