PIEZOELECTRIC RESONANCE PRESSURE MEASURING CONVERTER Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC G01L9/08

Abstract RU 2282837 C2

FIELD: measurement engineering.

SUBSTANCE: measuring converter has case with working chamber, sensor placed in to chamber and pressure-seal feed-through. Sensor is made of several items tightly connected together; items are made of crystal quartz. Strain resistance piezoelectric resonator is placed into cavity of sensor; edges of piezoelectric resonator are tightly connected with walls of cavity. Sensor is formed of package of plates tightly connected along peripheral; part of big faces; cavity is formed by recesses in faces of plates to be connected. Piezoelectric resonator is formed by means of through holes in internal plate of package and it has shape of two similar rods which are parallel to each other and to faces to be connected. Ends of rods are connected by common peripheral part and they tightly connected with external plates of package. Length L of cavity is directed along axes of rods. Width A of cavity and width B of sensor are parallel to plane of faces to be connected and both widths are perpendicular to axes of rods. Height H of cavity is perpendicular to faces to be connected. The parameters meet the following relations: L≥2A,H≤A, 2H≤B-A. Adjacent external faces of package, parallel to axes of rods, make angles of 90° and more with each other. According to another version, surface of sensor has shape of cylinder partially; the cylinder has axis being parallel to axes of rods. Edges of internal plate do not go out of external surface of sensor. According to one more version, edges of plates can go out of external surface of sensor. Recesses and protrusions are formed onto surface of package to be connected. Recesses are filled with connecting matter, for example, with glue or glass. Protrusions of plates to be connected are disposed in opposition and they engage without having space. Converter is provided with glass with cap; glass is made of elastic material. Sensor is placed into glass to have space between surface of sensor and surface of glass. Moreover, glass is tightly put onto protrusion of pressure-seal feeds-through and it is introduced into chamber of sensor not to have space with walls of the chamber. Through holes are made in walls and/or bottom either/or cap of glass.

EFFECT: reduced cost; improved reliability.
