FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: at least one receiver 14 is tugged behind moving seismic prospecting vessel 10. Method is base upon excitation of acoustic intensive wave at seismic source 16 and upon registration of time t2 of coming of reflection of acoustic intensive wave at one receiver. Distance x between source and one detector is measured. Time increment normal velocity V is estimated for acoustic energy and velocity Vv of seismic prospecting vessel. Then corrected time t1 of coming of reflection of acoustic intensive wave is determined due to introduction of time correction into registered time t2 of coming of reflection. Time correction has to the function of distance x, time increment normal velocity V and speed Vv of seismic prospecting vessel. Method can be applied to big amount of receivers independently on whether the receivers are disposed in data collection system with separate detector or they are tightly connected to form a group of receivers.
EFFECT: improved precision of results.
