FIELD: railway transport; electrical equipment of dc rolling stock.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dc electric trains with commutator traction motors with pulse starting. Additional inductance chokes are placed in armature circuit of traction motors after outputs of pulse interrupters connected by means of linear contactors with filter choke. Additional contactors are connected between output terminals of field winding of second, third and fourth traction motors and points of connection of armature of third, fourth and fifth traction motors with above-indicated additional chokes. Power contact of additional contractors are shunted by semiconductor diodes whose cathodes are connected to above-indicated points.

EFFECT: improved protection of electrical equipment at increase of traction force at regrouping of traction motors.
