FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical equipment of vehicles with dc traction motors. Proposed drive contains dc traction motors with series wound armature windings, reverser and static exciter. Field windings of electric motors are connected through reverser contacts between armature windings of electric motors and first output of exciter whose second output is connected to opposite contacts of brake selector, cathode of back diode, anode of thyristor, and through first normally-closed separate excitation contact is connected with first output of exciter, anode of back diode and cathode of thyristor. Regenerative diode shunted by normally closed regenerative braking contact is connected by anode to common point, and by cathode, to second output of current-limiting reactor, second output of current-limiting resistor being connected through second normally-open in separate excitation contact between windings of traction motor armatures and reverser.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of protection of traction motors in emergency bypassing exciter and increased stability of drive at regeneration.
