FIELD: manual control of ship motion, hovercraft or ships with cavity.
SUBSTANCE: one of PORT or STARBOARD buttons is depressed depending on side to which rudder is to be put over and respective rudder actuator is switched on. Rudder actuator is mechanically connected with respective rudder and rudder position sensor; putting-over procedure is checked against rudder position indicator which is electrically connected with respective rudder position sensor. Command is repeated to remaining rudder actuators and after release of button, position is automatically aligned by means of computer; difference between position of selected rudder and position of other rudders is determined with the aid of computer and commands for their actuators are generated.
EFFECT: ease in manual control of ship.
