FIELD: astronomy, possible use as visual aid or exhibit.
SUBSTANCE: device has body composed by segments, each one of which is formed by cutting rotation surface by two planes, forming upper and lower bases of segment. Segments are positioned on top of each other in form of vertical series between platform and core. Upper base of each segment is greater than lower base in terms of area and is positioned with inclination relatively to it. In series of segments, area of upper base declines upwardly, while inclination of upper base relatively to horizontal line varies from segment to segment. Rotation surfaces, serving as boundaries of segments, have common rotation axis. Core symmetry axis deviates from common rotation axis. Core is separated from upper segment by a substrate, having vertical symmetry plane and slanting portion, described in this plane by equation y=x2/(1+2x), where y - ordinate, directed along vertical line, proportional to gravity force of core during spontaneous shift of mass center of core away from rotation axis of planet, x - abscissa, directed along horizontal line, equal to relation of aforementioned spontaneous shift to radius of core and capable of taking on any positive value. Segments are limited by concentric spheres.
EFFECT: possible demonstration of spontaneous shift of planetary core.
