FIELD: physics of magnetic phenomena, applicable in simulation of interaction between a magnetized region and a differential rotation of medium at different values of the Reynolds magnetic number.
SUBSTANCE: the device has a magnet for angular displacement and two turn indicators. The novelty is in the fact that the device is provided with two cylindrical flywheels with a clearance between the flywheels, and the magnet is positioned in the mentioned clearance and suspended on threads connecting the turn indicators. The flywheel axles are parallel, and the magnet has a plane of symmetry. Each flywheel is connected to a separate reversible motor through a detachable coupling. Besides, each flywheel has a pulley for connection of both flywheels by a flexible transmission. The threads are connected to one of the turn indicators by means of a capacitive force pickup. Each flywheel and the motor connected to it rest on a common guide rail for movement of the motor along the mentioned rail. The magnet is enclosed in a holder connected to a cylindrical damper, which freely enters a fixed cylindrical vessel.
EFFECT: provided measurement of magnetic field orientation at its interaction with a differential motion of conductive bodies at different values of the similarity criterion.
