FIELD: agriculture, in particular, fruit growing, may be used for cold storage of seed-bearing crop fruits such as Japanese quince.
SUBSTANCE: method involves treating plants with chemical preparation at bud-formation period, with aqueous solution of glycine having concentration of 330-370 mg/l being used as chemical solution.
EFFECT: activation of natural protective mechanisms of seed-bearing crop fruits and, accordingly, reduced fruit losses during cold storage, and increased storage life.
