FIELD: foundry, possibly in building industry for making composition constructions.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of applying onto surface of pattern or permanent mold layer of mixture of broken refractory material with high content of alumina having melting temperature 1800 - 1850°C and bentonite with cryolite having melting temperature less than 1000°C; pouring cast iron at temperature 1420°C into mold. After pouring cast iron the last melts bentonite and cryolite and penetrates between more refractory grains of refractory material. After solidifying cast iron reliably bonds grains of refractory material. On casting surface there is formed layer of composition material. Main part of casting has high mechanical strength and surface layer protects casting against action of elevated temperature and aggressive media. Invention provides lowered labor consumption of process by 2 - 3 times.
EFFECT: lowered power, material consumption, reduced cost of method.
