METHOD FOR DIAMOND-ABRASIVE PROCESSING OF SCREWS USING A MASTER FORM Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B23G1/38

Abstract RU 2283734 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, technologies for processing precise screws made of intractable materials.

SUBSTANCE: method includes imparting independent rotational movement to tool, and imparting rotation and progressive movement, connected to longitudinal feeding, to template. Rotation and longitudinal feeding of template are selected independent, while transverse feeding of tool is provided for by processed surface and master form, thickness of which is equal to step of screw being processed. Master form is fastened to the end of template, and probe in contact with it, in form of a roller, is mounted in diametrically opposite place relatively to tool at a distance in longitudinal direction, equal to step of screw being processed, while radius of working surface in longitudinal section of probe roller equals radius of peripheral working surface in longitudinal section of diamond-abrasive tool. Probe is utilized as moveable work support and loaded force, pressing it to the template, equal to cutting force, developed by tool.

EFFECT: expanded technological capabilities, increased quality, productiveness and precision of processing.
