FIELD: abrasive working processes and tools, namely manufacture of tool for working multi-step parts such as races of cutters and foots of drilling bits.
SUBSTANCE: tool includes several discs coaxially mounted in spindle. Said discs have stepped diameters corresponding to steps of diameters of worked parts. Disc with minimum diameter has solid working surface, remaining discs have intermittent working surface of separate abrasive-diamond segments on base of flexible binder; said segments are secured to elastic tore-like envelopes. Intermittent discs are mounted by inclination angle αi relative to plane normal to rotation axis for forming axially shifted cutting layer. Spindle has central longitudinal opening and cross openings for supplying compressed air into elastic envelopes. In description of invention mathematical relation is given for determining value of above mentioned inclination angle of discs and parameters influencing upon it.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of working, improved shape accuracy and stable quality of surface along the whole width of each step, lowered abrasive material consumption.
