FIELD: abrasive working processes, possibly manufacture of diamond-abrasive tool for abrasive working of multi-step parts, for example raceways of drilling bits and rolling cutters.
SUBSTANCE: tool includes several discs coaxially mounted in spindle by angle αi relative to plane normal to rotation axis except disc with minimum diameter. Discs have diameters whose size difference corresponds to that of diameters of worked steps of blank and intermittent peripheral working surface. Discs include separate abrasive-diamond segments secured to elastic tore-like envelopes and they form axially shifted cutting layer with height Bi. Spindle has central longitudinal and cross openings through which compressed air is fed into elastic tore like envelopes for providing contact of all segments with worked surfaces. In description of invention mathematical relations are given for determining value of angle αi, inclination angle of discs and height of cutting layer.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of working and geometry accuracy, stable quality of surface along width of each step.
