FIELD: sugar industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves producing gypsum solution; sprinkling beet chips with this solution and extracting saccharose from beet chips by means of extractant; discharging diffusion juice; before sprinkling of beet chips with gypsum solution, said solution is treated in anode chamber of diaphragm-type electrolyzer to pH value of 3.2-3.6. Extraction procedure is carried out at temperature of 62-70 C. Extractant used is gypsum solution having concentration of 0.0035-0.01%, said concentration being treated in anode chamber of diaphragm-type electrolyzer to pH value of 6.0-6.5.
EFFECT: improved quality of diffusion juice by increased purity thereof, and reduced consumption of gypsum.
