FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; production of cast-iron and ferro-alloys.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes continuous loading of burden, tapping products of melting, monitoring composition and amount of burden products loaded into furnace, determination of entrapped and non-entrapped products of blast-furnace burden components in form of fine solid particles at monitoring delivery of iron, calcium and silicon to blast furnace and their distribution among products of melting; besides that, losses of iron with scrap of casting yard chutes, casting machines and hot-metal transfer ladles and cast iron entrapped at taps according to respective relationships are determined.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of monitoring unavoidable losses of iron; avoidance of expenses for instrumental determination of theses magnitudes.
