FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: charge contains iron ore raw material, metal additives, flush materials, coke, limestone and/or lime. Additionally charge contains vanadium containing slag-metal-oxide mixture at amount 4-17 kg/t of iron at the following ratio of components, wt %: metal additives - 1.4-3.5; flush materials - 0.3-1.2; coke - 18-28; limestone and/or lime - 2.0-4.0; vanadium containing slag-metal-oxide mixture - 0.2-1.0; iron ore raw material - the rest. Vanadium containing scrap and vanadium wastes are used as vanadium containing slag-metal-oxide mixture at the following composition, wt %: V₂O₅ - 8-25; Fe met. - 1-10; Fe oxide - 15-40; oxides Si, Ca, Mg, Mn, Cr, Al, C, P, S - the rest. Scale, metal product of blast furnace and steel melting process slag is used as metal additives; slag of rolling and steel melting production and also scale are used as flush materials.

EFFECT: implementation of invention reduces share of expensive agglomerate and pellets in charge and reduces coke consumption.
