FIELD: mechanical engineering; gas-turbine engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed gas-turbine engine with electric starter contains axial-flow compressor, electric stater with rotor, installed on rotor shaft of axial-flow compressor and stator arranged in housing of axial-flow compressor. Electric starter is made in form of thyristor reactive motor with rotor in form of laminated pack with salient poles enclosed by coils of connected winding of stator, with rotor position pickup, power electronic unit and control unit.
EFFECT: improved reliability and economy of gas-turbine engine.
