FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to scintillation materials, specifically to inorganic crystalline scintillators (ICS). Crystalline scintillator, which contains silver halides, is made in the form of a monocrystal based on a silver halide solid solution of the composition AgCl0.25Br0.75, additionally containing iodide of monovalent thallium at the following ratio of ingredients in wt. %: solid solution AgCl0.25Br0.75 80.0–95.0; monovalent thallium iodide 20.0–5.0.
EFFECT: wider luminescence spectrum, high resistance to radiation.
