FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to crystalline inorganic scintillators (CIS). Crystalline scintillator, including silver halides and monovalent thallium iodide, is made in the form of a monocrystal based on silver chloride, additionally containing a solid solution of monovalent thallium bromide iodide of composition TlBr0.46I0.54, with the following ratio of ingredients in wt.%: silver chloride 75.0–80.0; solid solution of TlBr0.46I0.54 25.0–20.0.
EFFECT: wider emission spectrum in the red region and near-infrared range, wider operating temperature range of the scintillator.
