METHOD FOR REMOVING FRONTAL WRINKLES Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine, plastic surgery.

SUBSTANCE: one should dissect skin along scalp border not achieving about 2-2.5 cm to helix' foundation. At opened frontal muscle it is necessary to make horizontal incisions with periosteum in supraorbital area right-hand and left-hand and in the center of the forehead, and in area of nasal root - vertical, with periosteum to separate subperiosteally up to the upper, external and internal orbital edge to form triangular fragments. The tops of the developed triangles should be truncated by stepping against the top about 2-2.5 cm. Triangular fragments should be replaced so, that their tops are rotated upwards and downwards, and in area of nasal root - horizontally, sutures should be applied, moreover, the direction of muscular fiber is changed from horizontal into vertical position. The innovation enables to remove frontal wrinkles, lift eyebrows, stretch cutaneous fold of the upper eyelids, achieve high cosmetic results and decreased the quantity of postoperational complications.
