FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of vinylorganyl sulfides wherein organyl means alkyl, phenyl or tolyl. Method involves preliminary synthesis of corresponding alkaline metal thiolate by interaction of thiol with 2-3-fold mole excess of alkaline metal hydroxide in an aqueous medium followed by heating the prepared mixture at 100-120°C under acetylene pressure 11-12 atm. Synthesized compounds can be used as film-forming materials and as extractants of rare and precious metals. Invention provides enhancing yield of end products and to simplify their isolation.
