FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an improved method for synthesis of 1-vinyl-2-phenylpyrrole from acetophenoneoxime and acetylene in a dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) medium in the presence of potassium hydroxide in amount of 16-25% of the weight of acetophenoneoxime at acetylene pressure equal to atmospheric pressure or close to atmospheric pressure (0.4-0.8 atm), at temperature of 130-150°C for 6-8 hours, with release of the end product through direct vacuum distillation of the residue after predistillation of the DMSO.
EFFECT: high output of end product and increased purity of the product.
