FIELD: transport engineering; vehicle gauges.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to remote control of fuel level in vehicle tank. Proposed level transmitter for fuel tank of vehicle contains float, magnet installed in float, upper and lower float travel stops, vertical guide tube accommodating sealed-contact reed relays, and electric connector. Moreover, guide tube is provided with element on which sealed-contact reed relays are mounted, being grouped into functional units, each consisting of two circuits with series-parallel connection of sealed-contact reed relays. In each circuit and at least in one of units, sealed-contact reed relays are installed at equal height. If member is made in form of rod of cruciform section, at least one sealed-contact reed relay is fitted in its slots for independent travel and fixing. At least two vertically orientated rod magnets are installed on float and, at least in one functional unit, conformity with condition (1<L) is provided where 1 is relative displacement in height of parallel interconnected circuits of sealed-contacts reed relays and L is length of zone of engagement of float and sealed-contact reed relay. And at n≥(m+2) where n is number of input of electric connector, m is number of functional units, and total input of functional units is connected with at least two inputs of electric connector.

EFFECT: enlarged sphere of application of level transmitter, improved reliability of checking of liquid level.
