FIELD: recycling of worn-out and reject tyres.
SUBSTANCE: proposed knife for cutting tyres into pieces contains at least two blades made in form of coaxially arranged parts of cylindrical shells of different diameter. Blade or blades of larger diameter are made with diameter equal to 0.98-0.99 of inner diameter of tire tread band. Blade or blades of smaller diameter are made with diameter equal to 1.1-1.15 of larger diameter of tire bead ring. Cutting edge of blade or blades of larger diameter is made on larger diameter surface of blade or blades. Cutting edge of blade or blades of smaller diameter is made on smaller diameter surface of blade or blades. Length of cutting edges of blades is not less than 0.51 of length of circumferences of which blades are arranged.
EFFECT: provision of two-fold increasing of cutting force with resulting facilitated process of cutting and reduced power consumption.
