FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: method is realised by means of mutually contacting driven dick cutter and rotating bearing roller with circular groove wherein blade of disk cutter enters. Cut item feeding into a cutting zone is performed with the cutter and the roller due to clamping item between them and also with a force motion. Rotation axles of the disk cutter and the bearing roller are arranged horizontally and mutually parallel in vertical or inclined planes. Notably, the axle of the roller is secured on a pivot arm, cross dimensions of which together with the bearing roller are less, than internal diametre of the cut item. Cut item feeding into the cutting zone is carried out with end surface of the item perpendicular to a line of rotation centres of the dick cutter and the bearing roller and perpendicular to a plane, wherein the rotation axles of the disk cutter and the bearing roller are arranged along the pivot arm, whereon the axle of the bearing roller is fixed so, that cutting line coincides with generatrix - meridian of the cut item.

EFFECT: invention facilitates item cutting both in meridian and circumferential directions and continuously along spiral producing spiral band of required width.
