METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE FLOW OF INFECTIOUS MONONUCLEOSIS CAUSED WITH EPSTEIN-BARR VIRUS IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC G01N33/53

SUBSTANCE: at early stages of the disease it is necessary to detect the complex of cytokines - gamma-interferon, factor of tumor necrosis-alpha, interleukin-4 to establish the following levels of these cytokines: at the first inspection (since the 2^nd to the 10^th d of the disease) - gamma-interferon being under 400 pg/ml, at discharge (since the 12^th to the 20^th d of the disease) - gamma-interferon being under 250 pg/ml and based upon these values it is possible to predict the development of relapsing flow of EBV-caused infectious mononucleosis in children that enables to optimize the conducted therapy for preventing the development of relapsing form of the above-mentioned disease.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of prediction.
