METHOD OF FORECASTING SERIOUSNESS OF INFECTIOUS MONONUCLEOSIS OF VARIOUS ETIOLOGY AT CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G01N33/68 G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2360255 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, namely to diagnostic methods and can be used for monitoring of gravity of an infectious mononucleosis (IM), Epstein-Barr (EBV) caused by a virus, cytomegalovirus (CMV) on early terms. For realisation of the method an estimation of immunologic parametres, namely levels of cytokines is performed: interleukin-2, interleukin-6, interleukin-8 on early terms of disease (with 1 for 3 day of illness) and in early recovery (with 14 for 16 day of illness). On the basis of these parametres, intermediate and serious forms of the infectious mononucleosis caused by EBV or CMV are prognosticated.

EFFECT: timely updating of therapy of patients already on early terms of illness and at a leg on concrete immunologic indicators application of immunomodulatory preparations and prevention of development of serious course of disease.
