FIELD: technologies for provision of optimal functioning modes for air cooling devices for natural unstripped gas, possible use at compressor stations of gas industries to prevent forming of hydrates in heat-exchange pipes of air cooling devices gas.

SUBSTANCE: measurements are performed for following parameters: temperature of walls of heat-exchange pipes of lower rows of air cooling device, temperature of surrounding air, temperature of gas at inlet and outlet of air cooling device, gas flow, gas pressure, gas density. Balanced hydrate generation curve is built with consideration of measured parameters. Using hydrate generation curve, considering measured parameters, minimal value of temperature of external surface of walls of heat-exchange pipes of air cooling device is determined, at which hydrate forming is minimal. With consideration of specifics of aforementioned technological process, maximal allowed value of gas temperature at outlet of air cooling device is determined. Maximal value of temperature of external surface of walls of heat-exchanging pipes of air cooling device gas is determined. Received minimal and maximal values of temperature of external surface of walls of heat-exchange pipes of air cooling device are compared to temperature, measured on external surface of walls of heat-exchange pipes in lower rows of air cooling device. On basis of results of comparison of temperatures, electric signal is produced, controlling frequency and direction of rotation of electric engines of ventilators.
