FIELD: power engineering; repairing aluminum and steel-core aluminum conductors of overhead power transmission lines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed clamp is made in the form of two similar semi-tubes of specific trough-shaped section. Each semi-tube is provided with slot on one end and mating ridge on other end; slots and ridges may be of various shapes from polyhedron to oval. During clamp assembly ridge of one semi-tube enters slot of other semi-tube, and vice versa, ridge of other semi-tube enters slot of first one. In such condition semi-tubes are compressed together with conductor being repaired by means of hexahedral or round dies on overhead power transmission line. Ratio of clamp semi-tube sectional area to maximal cross-sectional area of conductors being installed will range between 1.4 and 1.8. New repair clamp affords reduction in metal consumption by approximately 1.65 to 2.45 times.
EFFECT: facilitated procedure, reduced metal input.
