FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: slider bearing comprises bearing bushing and insert set in the bushing and made of a wood-metallic composition having heat conducting members made of antifriction metallic material. The wood-metallic composition is compressed. The percentage of metallic component ranges within 5 to 25 per cents of the total volume of the material of the insert, and the metallic component is uniformly distributed over the thickness and length of the insert. The heat-conducting members of the metallic component are spherical in shape, with a diameter of the spheres from 0.2 to 6.5 mm.
EFFECT: enhanced durability and simplified structure.
