FIELD: means for damping vibration.

SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic damper comprises shaft mounted on bearings and provided with aluminum sleeve mounted in the housing of the magnetic system. The inner space of the sleeve receives cylindrical magnetic circuit made of magnetically soft material and provided with hollows arranged uniformly over outer circumference. The hollows receive axles with the roller bearings that bears the free end of the aluminum sleeve. The outer multi-pole stator is made of a magnetic circuit and provided with high-energy permanent magnet mounted on its inner surface.

EFFECT: reduced cost and enhanced reliability.
