FIELD: methods of determination of moisture content in liquid hydrocarbons; petrochemical industry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in placing liquid hydrocarbon or fuel at definite level in cylindrical volume resonant cavity and exciting electromagnetic oscillation, type H011. Then, loaded Q-factor is measured at temperature t1 and additionally loaded Q-factor is measured at lower temperature t2; volume percentage of moisture-containing additive is determined by mathematical formula given in Specification.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements.
