FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: brake of crank press consists of drive of mechanical press slider which contains driven crank shaft equipped with flywheel, connecting rod of driven crank shaft, which is pivotally connected with driven crank shaft, towed connecting rod pivotally connected with connecting rod of driven crank shaft; crank shaft of towed connecting rod pivotally connected to towed connecting rod and equipped with release clutch and flywheel, slider lock and crank shaft of slider. The slider is additionally equipped with a rack-pinion drive whereon a reducer is installed; the latter is connected with an electric generator.
EFFECT: there is achieved regenerative braking which facilitates utilisation of slider braking power and returning it to circuit.
