FIELD: physico-chemical treatment of surface layers of metal items made from titanium or its alloys for change of their surface properties.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes physico-chemical treatment of surfaces of items and their alitizing; physico-chemical treatment of articles is carried out by electrochemical polishing in electrolyte of the following composition: perchloric acid - 1 part; acetic acid - 9 parts at temperature of 30-35°C, current density of 2 A/dm2 and voltage of 60 V; the procedure is continued for 3 min.

EFFECT: activation of interaction of surface with contacting media and agents; enhanced scale resistance and corrosion resistance; enhanced anti-friction properties.
