FIELD: magnesium-containing metal-air batteries and fuel cells.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for improving performance characteristics of magnesium-containing electrodes used in metal-air batteries (fuel cells) involves addition of one or more dopes to electrolyte or to electrode surface. Dopes are chosen from any of following groups: dithiobiuret, tin, tin and quaternary ammonia salt.
EFFECT: enhance specific power characteristics and anode use factor.
