FIELD: medicine, cardiology.

SUBSTANCE: one should carry out electrocardiography, detect root-mean-square deviation of analyzed intervals RR and root-mean-square deviation of interinterval differences during the period under testing. It is necessary to calculate the value of relative sympathetic activity (VRSA) (U) by the following formula: VRSA=SDNN/RMSSD, where SDNN - root-mean-square deviation of analyzed intervals RR during the period under testing, msec; RMSSD - root-mean-square deviation of interinterval deviations during the period under testing, msec. At VRSA value being above 5.3 relative sympathetic activity should be estimated as high, at values ranged 2.5-5.3 - moderate, and at values being below 2.5 - low. The innovation enables to increase accuracy of evaluation due to taking into account the activity of different physiological systems.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of evaluation.
