FIELD: agricultural engineering.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has reservoir equipped with two-way valves and connected through flexible hoses with water pipe mains and canalization, reservoir inclination mechanism formed as power cylinder hydraulically communicating with hydraulic station, and solid sediment transportation device positioned therein and consisting of horizontal screw and inclined screw, which are kinematically connected with one another, drive mounted on casing of inclined screw, on outer wall of reservoir-vibrator for transmitting vertical vibrations thereto, licorice root and rootstock transportation device made in the form of rod conveyor whose drive shaft is positioned outside reservoir and is kinematically connected with individual drive, and tilt grid. Apparatus has additional reservoir and mechanism for inclining screw-type conveyor toward horizontal plane, said mechanism being provided with lateral tension members. Additional reservoir is hydraulically communicating with main reservoir. Horizontal screw is connected with inclined screw by means of Hooke's joint. Inclined and horizontal screw housing joint is made in the form of hollow parts of spheres, whose geometric centers are aligned with respect to center of Hooke's joint. Lower ends of said tension members of inclined screw housing are positioned along single axis in horizontal plane extending through center of Hooke's joint at ends of inclined and horizontal pivots.
EFFECT: reduced mechanical damage, increased efficiency and quality of cleaning licorice roots and rootstocks, reduced consumption of water, and effective utilization of plant and mineral raw material.
