FIELD: medicine, traumatology, orthopedics.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with studying distraction regenerate and callus. It is necessary to isolate the part of interest, moreover, one should fulfill direct investigation of the part of interest that includes maternal and newly developed bony tissue. Then one should treat the obtained axial sections of distraction regenerate in the mode of multiplanar reconstruction in sagittal and frontal planes, at the thickness of section being equal to the diameter of maternal bone in these planes. It is necessary to isolate the parts of interest to calculate the area of these parts of interest and detect their density in Hounsfield's units to compare with the density of maternal bone. Application of the present method enables to correct the tactics of tempo and rhythm of distraction that, in its turn, enables to detect the terms for removing the apparatus.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of investigation.
