METHOD FOR TENSION-FREE HERNIOPLASTY IN CASE OF INGUINAL HERNIAS Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine, herniology.

SUBSTANCE: a net-shaped prosthesis should be modeled by taking into account the substitution of lateral aponeurotic fragment of external oblique muscle of abdomen with it followed by suturing it to inguinal ligament along the line located proximally against its inferior edge, and into these sutures one should capture not only the inguinal ligament but, also, lateral aponeurotic fragment of external oblique muscle of abdomen for its whole width; as for inferior edge of the net-shaped prosthesis, it should be fixed towards median aponeurotic fragment of external oblique muscle of abdomen being above it without any tension; aponeurosis of external oblique muscle of abdomen should be dissected so that the width of its lateral fragment should not exceed 1 cm. One should fulfill the plasty of external inguinal ring at developing the latter being beyond the area of inguinal space, for this purpose the net-shaped prosthesis should, correspondingly, be modeled and additionally fixed towards anterior leaf of the sheath of rectus muscle of abdomen that prevents tissue tension and compression of spermatic funiculus.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of hernioplasty.
