FIELD: cutting processes and equipment that may be used for example for producing heat insulation, building and decorative materials.

SUBSTANCE: according to first variant of invention computer-controlled apparatus includes base; horizontal guides secured to mutually opposite sides of base and supporting vertical guides; heated cutting tool mounted in vertical guides with possibility of motion in vertical and horizontal planes; table for placing blank of thermoplastic material; electronic control unit. Carriages driven by separate motor are mounted in horizontal guides with possibility of their simultaneous motion on horizontal guides. In carriages of horizontal guides vertical guides are mounted and they are mutually joined by means of beam in their upper parts for forming portal movable in horizontal plane. Cutting tool includes one or several cutting wires. In each vertical guides of portal one or several carriages are mounted for securing to them ends respectively of one or several cutting wires. Said carriages may simultaneously move on vertical guides and they are joined with other motor mounted in upper beam of portal for moving carriages along vertical guides. Table may be rotated from its own motor. Electronic control unit includes circuit for setting voltages controlling all motors, cutting wire heating circuit, interface circuit providing communication with personal computer. According to second variant of invention on each vertical guide of portal one carriage moves; tool is changeable one and it has guide whose ends are mounted in carriages of vertical guides of portal with possibility of their simultaneous motion along vertical guides and joined with other separate motor. Additional carriage is mounted in guides of changeable tool to which cutting wire of predetermined shape is secured through insulation gasket and which is joined with additional separate motor for moving cutting wire on guide of changeable tool along axis normal relative to horizontal and vertical guides.

EFFECT: possibility for making articles of any complex contour with high accuracy, enhanced efficiency of producing profiled linear products.
